<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 14, 1916 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of Village Council was held at the office of C.F. Fiman Pres on Wednesday June <br />14, 1916. <br /> <br />Present –E.E. Scott, E.J. Keegan, F.M. Plank Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br />C.F. Fiman absent until 9 P.M. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by F.M. Plank at 8:15 P.M. <br /> <br />On motion duly made seconded and declared carried the following bills were allowed. <br /> <br />Walter S Booth and Sons blanks for J.P. office 6.00 <br />John Blocker hauling dirt street 16.75 <br />E.R. Power and Light Co fixtures for band stand 76.06 <br />JE Hamlet street work 4.25 <br />F.M. Plank goods for needy 22.57 <br /> <br />On motion of F.M. Plank seconded by E.E. Scott to old ordinance regulating speed of automobiles <br />in Village limits was annulled and F.M. Plank and C.F. Fiman were appointed com. To procure 5 <br />signs and post them on different entrances to the Village stating speed of automobiles allowed in <br />village limits said speed to conform to State laws regulating same. <br /> <br />Clerk was instructed to purchase automatic gun and police billy for Village Marshal. <br /> <br />C.F. Fiman was authorized to look after purchasing plank for bridge over Miss. River. <br /> <br /> <br />No further business adjourned. <br />W.F. Chadbourne <br />Vill Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
