<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 18, 1916 <br /> <br />A Special meeting of Village Council was held at the Office of C.F. Fiman at the Bank of Elk River <br />on Saturday March 18, 1916. <br /> <br />Present – F.M. Plank, E.J. Keegan and E.E. Scott Trustee and W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br /> <br />C.F. Fiman Pres being absent F.M. Plank acting chairman. <br /> <br />This being the time specified to act on the application of Geo H. Blanchett for license to sell <br />st <br />intoxicating liquors in the N.E. Room 1 from Blanchett Hotel and the notice having been <br />published according to law 2 weeks and no one appearing against such application the following <br />resolution was adopted. <br /> <br />Resolved <br />That the request of George H. Blanchett for license to sell intoxicating liquors in N.E. Co Room of <br />said Blanchett Hotel (The said application being on file in the office of Village Clerk and duly <br />published in Sherburne Co Star News) be agreed on condition that said Geo H Blanchett present a <br /> bond to be accepted by Pres of Council under the laws, conditions and <br />penalty as heretofore and also deposit the sum of 2000.00 for said above mentioned license for the <br />nd <br />term of one year commencing April 2 1916 and Clerk is authorized to issue such license where <br />conditions named are conformed to <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />F.M.
