<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 11, 1914 <br /> <br />A regular meeting of Village Council was held on Wednesday evening March 11, 1914 at the office <br />of Charles F. Firman. <br /> <br />Present: C.F. Firman Pres, F.M. Plank, Ed Keegan, and E.E. Scott Trustees and W.F. Chadbourne <br />Clerk <br /> <br />Marshal Ed Healy and Geo Blauchett present. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President at 8:30 <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed and clerk instructed to draw order for <br />this respective amts. <br /> <br /> 2.00 <br />A.N. Dare printing 63.30 <br />Walter S. Booth blanks .38 <br />Ed Healy feeding insurance man 1.05 <br />J.E. Hamlet gasoline 22.00 <br />E.R. Lumber Co care for needy 1.25 <br />W.F. Chadbourne election ex 11.75 <br /> <br />Geo Blauchett Liquor License: On motion made and carred Geo H. Blauchett was granted a license <br />to sell intoxicating liquor in Blauchett Hotel as advertised in Star News said licnese to commence <br />April 3, 1914 and continue one year amt 2000.00. <br /> <br />Cig license changed from Roy Scott to Grover Malroupe. At the request of Grover Malroupe <br />motion made and carried that the license granted Roy Scott to sell cigarettes be transferred to said <br />Grover Malroupe he having purchased the business from Scott. The same request was granted to <br />license to run pool and billiard tables. <br /> <br />Frank Ebner appointed assessor: There being a vacancy in the office of assessor owing to the <br />resignation of Mr. Frank Ebner was on motion duly <br />made seconded and caused appointed to fill vacancy of unexpired term. <br /> <br /> <br />No further business adjourned. <br /> <br />W.F.
