<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 7, 1958 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Council was called to order on July 7, 1958 by Mayor Johnosn. <br />All members were present. The minutes of the last meetings were read and approved. <br /> <br />A delegation from Upper Town attended the meeting regarding their petition for sewer service. As <br />Lester Derr, Street Commissioner, was not present it was not possible to go into the matter other <br />than to show them the estimate of cost by Engineer Mills. The matter will be taken up at a later date. <br /> <br />Chief of Police, Oliver Micheau reported that the railroad company has refused to allow truck <br />parking on railroad property just north of the depot. <br /> <br />The Council agreed to allow George Moos two weeks vacation with pay. <br /> <br />A motion was made by Bergerson and seconded by Briggs to transfer $5000.00 from the Liquor <br />Store Fund to the general fund. Carried. <br /> <br />Al Balow, Manager of the Liquor Store reported that the store has done over $6,400.00 mor <br />business for the first six months of 1958 than for the first six months of 1957 showing a profit of <br />$2073.00 more than the same period of 1957. <br /> <br />The town board of the Town of Otsego attended the meeting.
