<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 5, 1973 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by the chairman. A Mr. Rausch from the Gopher sign company <br />came in regard to signs for the Town Road. He brought literature about signs. He said we would <br />have to go over the township to know what is needed in quantity. <br /> <br />Next Archie Johnson appeared before the Board to show his proposed plat on land formerly the <br />Max Stimmler Farm. Earl Schulke moved seconded by EL Specht the tentative preliminary plans of <br />Archie Johnson be approved. So carried. Tunis Van Dwyn and Nancy Dreissig appeared next. There <br />was some question about the street on the east side of Archie Larson addition. This was to be <br />checked out with county auditor. A motion was made by Frank Madsen seconded by Earl Schulke <br />that the board go on record as not making any change in the new addressing systems. Motion so <br />carried. <br /> <br />Carl Neviles spoke for members living in Riverview Heights. They asked about the Elk River Town <br />not coming out to see the condition of the road. Frank Madsen stated that Mr. Brenteson <br />guaranteed his work for a period of one year. This will be looked into when the weather is warmer. <br />The Board is to meet with Ronald Johnson and others to satisfy their requirements for the road in <br />their area on the first of June 1974. <br /> <br />Next the members of the Burns Town Board met with the Elk River Town Board. The matter of <br />the fence line between Moritz and Dale Borquist was the issue. A motion was made by Frank <br />Madsen seconded by Henry Moos of Burns Township that someone be hired to build the Borgquist <br />portion of fence in question. Motion was unanimously carried. The joint board decided to publish a <br />call for bids in Anoka and Sherburne papers. The motion was made to adjourned. So ordered. <br /> <br />EV Rathbun <br />Clerk <br /> <br />PS A motion was made to accept beer applications for Elk Bowl, Riverview Sports and Fast Pitch <br />softball League. Seconded and carried EVR The following bills were ordered paid.
