<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 1973 <br /> <br />The meeting of Elk River Town Board was called to order by the chairman EL Specht. Lloyd <br />Brutlag and Mr. and Mrs. Koch appeared to explain that the road crossing the RR tracks is such that <br />a school would get hung up in crossing same. This being the road going east of Skelly truck stop. <br />The Town Board is to look at above mentioned road also the road in EL Specht addition at 7:00 <br />th <br />P.M. Mon. Sept. 17. <br /> <br />Next Laurence Kreger met with the Board in regard to the Hovath road. It was agreed with the <br />engineer that the top of the hill south of Pete Hovath Bldg. be lowered 3 feet more than specks call <br />for. Erwin Specht complained that the road to Goddards is breaking up in places. The Board talked <br />to Brenteson on this matter. Cliff Lindberg, Larry Toth, Robert Syring from the Village and a lady <br />from the Star News met with the Board. Cliff Lindberg acted as spokesperson for the group. He <br />asked what the fueling of the twp was in regard to the study or survey in regard to orderly <br />annexation. The Board seemed to feel that with one acre lots, annexation would not be too <br />necessary. <br /> <br />Ted Moritz and Son next appeared before and stated that he had a fence problem with Dale <br />Borquest. Dale would have 80 rods to build 4 barb wires. Clerk to send a letter. It was moved by <br />nd <br />Frank Madsen that acceptance of plats of Knollwood west and Knollwood 2 addition be approved <br />subject to presentation of the Hardshell copies. Second by Earl Schulke. Motion carried. A motion <br />was made and seconded that Mrs. Madsen be hired to type cards for addresses at 3.00 per hour. So <br />carried.
