<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />MAY 8, 1972 <br /> <br />A special meeting was called to order by the chairman Franklin Madsen. A motion was made and <br />seconded that the Town Board pay the remaining balance due on the Ridgewood Addition in the <br />amount of $1800.00. Motion carried. The purpose of the meeting is planning for a sewer district. A <br />motion was made and seconded to approve a beer license for Elk River County Club. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />A grant interested in the sewer district question met at the court house. Bill Mills discussed the <br />problem for Best Paint, Archie Larson Addition and Riverview Drive. Those in attendance <br />interested in pursuing the sewer problem 15 those opposed 18. On a second vote it was 17 for and <br />12 against for sewer district. No definite decision was arrived at in this meeting. A motion was made <br />and seconded to table and for west end carried. <br /> <br />A motion was made and seconded that north of Marvin George be carried out. Motion carried in <br />sewer project.
