<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 6, 1967 <br /> <br />The Town Board met as usual with all members present. Thomas Hipsag was present and asked if <br />the Town Board would take over his road as a town road. The chairman stated that the board would <br />have to see the road first. <br /> <br />Next Tom Goodman appeared he asked if the roads in new addition can be dedicated and accepted <br />as township roads. Melvil Peterson moved and seconded by Everett Specht that Mr. Goodman’s <br />roads be accepted as town roads. The motion carried so ordered. Mr. Eastman and Mr. Duggen <br />appeared before the board. They asked if some snow fence could placed along their road. It was <br />requested that 300 feet of snow fence be furnished. Also about 25 posts. The board agreed to <br />furnish the material if the resident put it up and take it down. A motion made by E. Specht and <br />seconded by Melvil Peterson that the above be carried out. Gene Zappa appeared also appeared <br />before the board to see if the board would pay all or any part of the cost for lights. It was agreed not <br />to do so unless it was brought before and annual meeting. Glenn Powell stated that a short course <br />was to be held and wanted to know if he should go to it. It was agreed he should go and his expense <br />be paid.
