ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING
APRIL 4, 1966

The meeting of the Town Board of Elk River Township was called to order with all members
present. John Nord was present at the meeting. John said the Dobie boy wants to put a trailer home
in Elk River township. The rule followed has been to grant a permit for a year if they plan to build
or 6 mo. Or move into a trailer court. It was agreed to have a permit on a temporary basis for 6 mo.

Gordon Purmort and Bob Dahms and Mr. Anderson appeared to explain the condition of the road
past their homes. They had in mind to have the road tarred. A petition was presented by the above
named men to have work done in 1966. It was suggested to see Spencer to see what price hot tar
mix would be. No definite answers was given as to what would be done.

A grant from Camp Cozy met with the board. They said the road was washed out and they were
walking to their homes. They proposed to have the road built where it was laid out years ago.
Stodoka from Little Falls is the contractor doing the tar job on Meadowvale road.

Henry Rohn, Lester Anderson, Richard Elmer appeared before the board. They stated their road
was soft and impassable. It was decided to have Fred Brenteson look at the road.

Milo Moon appeared before the board to see if anything was to be done with the Junk Yard at
Gallatis’. No action has been taken. It was moved that beer license for Elk River Athletic Assn and
ER Country Club be renewed.
