Patron Services Supervisor Report
To:
Elk River Board
CC:
Lori Lundstrom, LSC
From:
Jeannette Burkhardt, Patron Services Supervisor
Date:
January 24, 2023
Year End Campaign
Great River Regional Library's Year -End Campaign ends January 31. There is still time to donate! This
fundraising effort benefits the regional library system as a whole and is the biggest and most extensive
fundraising effort of the year. The Year End Campaign helps fund Communications, Programming, and
Collection Development. The goal for the 2022 campaign year is to raise $86,000. As of January 11, the
campaign has raised $58,559.
Locally Growin'
Locally Growin' is the fundraising campaign that takes place at the local, branch level. This year, Elk River
has a goal to raise $500.00. All money raised stay in Elk River to be used by the Elk River Library. These
monies will be used to purchase titles in the big book format as well as a shelving unit to house these items
in the library.
Leadership Team
We will work with St. Cloud State University Survey Center to conduct a user study in Spring of 2023. GRRL
engaged the Survey Center in 2018 to conduct a User/Non-User survey. The results from the 2018
user/non-user survey helped shape the direction of the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan. The survey effort is part
of our Strategic Plan Priority -Operational Excellence -Goal 1: Enhance efforts to offer effective and
welcoming library service -Objective 3: Have a formal assessment process for library programs and services.
Exploring Potential Interests & Careers (EPIC)
EPIC is a partnership between United Way/Partner for Student Success, Resource Training & Solutions,
Central Minnesota Boy Scouts, Exploring Potential Career Interests and Great River Regional Library. The
idea of the project is to connect students, families and job seekers with career exploration experiences.
\%MRARY
