<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER SPECIAL MEETING CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 23, 1912 <br /> <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Village Council was held at the office of Geo. E. Page on Saturday evening <br />November 23, 1912. <br /> <br />Present: Geo. E. Page, President, B.F. Plummer, E. P. Babcock Trustees, W.F. Chadbourne, Clerk. <br /> <br />Visitors, John Blocker, Ben Daniels, John Walley, F.W. Nickerson <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion duly made seconded and carried the clerk was <br />{illegible} to draw orders for {illegible}. <br /> <br />A.A. Opity – for use of {illegible} grounded for garbage - $10.00 <br />Elk River Lumber Co.- $49.74 <br />W.R. Smith = goods for Mrs. Ka{illegible} - $20.45 <br />Frank T. White – insurance premium - $31.50 <br />J. E. Hachet- gasoline - $21.60 <br />F. W. Nickerson = street work - $5.00 <br />B. F. Plummer – Judge of election – $6.25 <br />Geo. Worden – Judge of election and registration day - $8.25 <br />Charles Kahler – Judge of election - $6.25 <br />A.D. Allen – Clerk of election - $6.25 <br />W.F. Chadbourne – Clerk of election - $6.25 <br />N.D. Trumbull – hall rent, janitor, {illegible} - $6.00 <br /> <br />The question of filling dirt back of Ab{illegible} at north end of Elk River bridge was discussed on <br />motion it was decided to have work done by the day and John Walley was appointed to look after <br />{illegible} hiring men and teams in Village as far as possible. B.F. Plummer Trustee was <br />appointment to have charge of {illegible}. <br /> <br />The following resolution was unanimously adopted. Resolved. That the Marshal be authorized and <br />ordered to dispose of all dogs on streets without muzzles. <br /> <br />W. F. Chadbourne was on motion appointed to look after the case of Mrs. Geo West at having <br />been reported that she was in need of help no other business. <br /> <br />Adjourned <br />W.F.
