<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 13, 1908 <br /> <br /> <br />The Village Council met at the store of R.E. Dare on Friday, March 13, 1908. <br /> <br /> <br />Present: <br />R.E. Dare, President, Justus deBooy, S. M. Crockettt and W. P. Rhoda, trustees and W.F. <br />Ghadboune, recorder. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order at 3 oclock P.M. by the President. R.E. Dare <br /> <br />The question in regard to ? a Village Marshall was taken of and disf? of. It being the sense of the <br />meeting that we needed one but that we could pay only 50.00 per month including street lighting <br />and that the present Marshall be notified to that effect. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: <br />Walter S. Booch and Sons – Blanks for Justice Hastings $5.55 <br />The Patterson Street Lighting Co. – 6 Doz ? $10.80 <br />M.G. Blauchette – Meals for transfers $1.50 <br />P. Greunger – Trucks and hauling for ice break $10.00 <br />W. P. Rhoda – Freight and Ex $0.55 <br />P. Vassar – (Truck Fire) $1.00 <br />Bert Barr – Truck Fire, Hauling Engine $5.00 <br />Justus deBooy – Truck Fire $5.85 <br />Ja? W. Borde – Truck Fire $3.00 <br />John Bither – Tromley Fire $3.00 <br />Nick Decker – Truck Fire $1.00 <br />S. M.
