<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 2, 1907 <br /> <br /> <br />Minutes of the proceeding of the Village Council of the Village of Elk River in the County of <br />Sherburne and State of Minnesota including all accounts audited by said Council. <br /> <br />Common Council met at the store of R.E. Dare May 2, 1907 <br /> <br />Present: R.E. Dare Pres. Justus de-Booy, S.M. Crockett, W.P. Rhoda Trustees and W.F. <br />Ghadboune, Recorder <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by President. <br /> <br />A petition was received signed by MC. Blauchett, Frank Salter, J.H. Romd???, W.H. Houlton, and <br />Bjat M. Babcock asking the Council to establish a fire limit in certain Lolo and Blocks of the Village. <br />Certain things about the petition bring irregular. It was decided not to act on it until the next <br />meeting. <br /> <br />The committee on sidewalk reported that Vooman Bros of Anoka wished to submit a bid for <br />constructing cement sidewalk on Depot St. Mr. Vooman being present offered to build walk at 73 <br />cents per yard and cross walk for 1.40 per yard. <br /> <br />Mr. Frank Hall of Elk River offering to do work at power line job was given to L??? ????? the <br />power terms as Vooman Bros. <br /> <br />A communication was rec’d from A.P. Turner Eng. As to north protection to bridge it being a <br />report of his visit here as the request of council. The matter was laid over until ???? future meeting. <br /> <br />The following bills were presented, and motion allowed. <br />W.M. Morgan – road work - $20.00 <br />S.M. Goodell - $2.50 <br />J.E. Mc Bride - $5.00 <br />W.B. Eaton - $10.00 <br />M.K. Iliff - $10.00 <br />R.E. Dare - $10.00 <br />Will Iliff - $17.50 <br />Hickman Mer. Co. - $9.15 <br />Leo Jonso - $10.00 <br />A.
