<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />March 12, 1963 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The town board of Elk River Township met at the Court House to conduct the annual township <br />meeting. As the business meeting was set last year at 1 o’clock. The following persons voted. The <br />terms of E.L. Specht, L.R. Molderhauer and A.L. Powell were up. <br /> <br />1. Morris, Jack 9. Specht, Erwin <br />2. Morris, Mrs. 10. Engstrom, Oscar <br />3. Schulke, Eearl 11. Specht, Mrs. Everett <br />4. Thompson, Gene 12..Specht, Everett <br />5. Peterson, Micheal 13. Schulke, Mrs. Earl <br />6. Powell, A.L. 14. J R Molderhauer <br />7. Rathbun, Everett <br />8. Hinkle, Dick <br /> <br />At one o’clock the business meeting was called. The Clerk read the minutes of the last years meeting. <br />Next the Treasurer read his report. The Clerk reported that the expenses for the past year nearly was <br />equal to the amount raised. Earl Schulke moved that $7,500.00 be raised for Road & Brdg. Seconded <br />by Erwin Specht. Motion carried. It was moved by Mel Peterson that $3,000.00 be raised for <br />Revenue Fund seconded by Oscar Engstrom. It was moved by E.L. Specht seconded by Earl <br />Schulke that no mill be levied for Poor Fund. It was moved and seconded that the gopher bounty be <br />paid the same as last year. <br /> <br />The time of the next annual meeting will be from 10 o’clock to 4 p.m. with business meeting held in <br />the same place at 1 o’clock in the afternoon. There was a motion by Erwin Specht that the treas. <br />Salary be at $300.00 per year.
