<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 89- ~ <br />AN ORDINANCE ORDERING A MORATORIUM <br />ON THE ISSUANCE OF SIGN PERMITS FOR ADVERTISING SIGNS <br />FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Elk River does ordain as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Purpose. <br /> <br />The City Council is aware of the proliferation of outdoor <br />advertising devices recently erected along and adjacent to <br />state, county and local thoroughfares in the City of Elk <br />River. The City Council shall conduct studies to assure <br />the orderly development of properties adjacent to <br />thoroughfares within the City of Elk River including the <br />erection of outdoor advertising devices. <br /> <br />Section 2. Development Restriction. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 462.355, Subd. 4 <br />does hereby adopt this interim ordinance ordering that no <br />building permits shall be issued for outdoor advertising <br />signs governed by Elk River Ordinance Section 900.22, <br />Subsection 4.d.(ii) and 4.e.(vi).
