<br />Request for Action <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />To Item Number <br />Mayor and City Council 4.5 <br />Agenda Section Meeting Date Prepared by <br />Consent Agenda March 1, 2021 Michael Hecker, Parks and Recreation Director <br />Item Description Reviewed by <br />Pond Hockey Goals Donation from Paul Olson Cal Portner, City Administrator <br />Reviewed by <br /> <br /> <br />Action Requested <br />Adopt, by motion, a resolution acknowledging the donation of four sets of pond hockey goals at an approximate <br />value of $500 from Paul Olson. <br /> <br />Background/Discussion <br />Elk River residents Nicki Baker and Paul Olson contacted Michael Hecker regarding their desire to construct and <br />donate pond hockey goal boxes for the city’s outdoor rinks at Mississippi Oaks Park, River Place Park and Handke <br />Pit. <br /> <br />A youth hockey coach, Paul, led the effort with his Pee Wee hockey team to construct them in his garage. They <br />were completed and delivered to the outdoor rinks in early February.
