<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 5, 1958 <br /> <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Elk River Council was called to order by Mayor Johnson on May 5, 1958 <br />with all members present. <br /> <br />Fire Chief, Harry Dressig was present and there was discussion regarding specification for the new <br />fire truck. <br /> <br />George Moos asked for a raise in salary. Upon motion by Meyer and second by Sandberg the <br />st <br />Council agreed to allow an increase of ten cents per hour for Moos beginning May 1. <br /> <br />Arlie McCullaugh complained about his neighbors dog doing damage on hie property. The Council <br />asked the Clerk to write McCullough that it will be necessary for him to make a formal complaint. <br /> <br />Trustee Sandberg proposed the attached Amendment No. 55 and moved its adoption. Motion was <br />seconded by Bergerson. Roll call vote: Meyer – No, Bergerson – yes, Sandberg – yes, Briggs – yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />A petition for sewer extension signed by property owners of Upper Town was presented to the <br />Council. The petition was tables until the next regular meeting. <br /> <br />It was suggested that Atty. Mac Gibbon be asked about authority to send boys to school patrol <br />school. <br /> <br />Oliver Micheau suggested that yield signs be placed at certain places. The Council agreed. <br /> <br />Storm sewers matter was up for discussion. Also plumbing code. Copies of a Village plumbing code <br />will be made for the next meeting. <br /> <br />The following bills were allowed: <br />N.W. Bell Co. – Phones $22.64 <br />Elk River Utilities – Apr.
