<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />September 6, 1955 <br /> <br />A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Sept 6, 1955. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> Harry Dow, Dan Bailey, August Meyer, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by acting Mayor Dan Bailey in the absence of Mayor Schwartz. The <br />minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br /> <br />T.H. Daly showed the council general form for village insurance showing different items and the <br />amount of insurance. Some adjustments were made. <br /> <br />As vacancies have occurred on the village library board cause by resignation of Henry Engelke and <br />Rev. Gilbertson, a motion was made by Meyer and seconded by Dow to appoint O. Barsness and <br />Frank Nickerson on the Library Board. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Bailey and seconded by Meyer to levy sewer assessment as completed on Eight St. as <br />prepared by Dan Bailey.
