VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING December 6, 1948 A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Building on Dec 6, 1948. Members present: Oscar Odegard, Mayor; Elmer Leger, Dan Bailey, R.A. Ellingson, Trustees; H.A. Briggs, Clerk The meeting was called to order by Mayor Odegard. The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. Mr. John Bailey appeared in regard to the sewer assessment on lots belonging to John Bailey and Gordon Tesch described as S 74’ of lots 22, 23, and 24 except street in Blk 6, Houlton’s Addition and the N 75’ of South 150’ of lots 22, 23, and 24 in Blk 6, Houlton’s Addition. In this case only one side of the street is benefited by the sewer. After some discussion a motion was made by Leger and seconded by Ellingson to make a charge of $1.50 per foot and in any further cases of this kind. The motion carried. The following building permits were approved upon motion by Ellingson and second by Briggs: William Frye Mrs. Augusta Balowsky Resignations were received from Mrs. Huseth and Mrs. Sederberg members of the library board. The resignations were accepted by the Council and the new appointments were to be made at the next Council meeting. The following bills were approved and ordered paid: E.R.
