There were a total of two bidders. The bid documents requested a base bid <br />plus an add-on for an alternate type of oil containing polymers. The following table <br />provides the bidder's name and total bid: <br /> <br /> <br />Base Bid <br />$63,561.20 <br />70,199.00 <br /> <br />Add-On <br />$8,636.46 <br />10,281.50 <br /> <br />Total <br />$72,197.66 <br />80,480.50 <br /> <br />Allied Blacktop Company has successfully completed seal coating for the City of Elk River <br />in the past. Therefore, we recommend award to them as the lowest responsible bidder for <br />the base plus alternate bid in a total amount of $72,197.66.
