Ordinance No. 05 - _a <br /> <br />Background <br /> <br />On June 20, the City Council considered zone changes for nine parcels within the City of <br />Elk River in order to bring the Land Use Map and Zoning Map into consistency with each <br />other. This zone change did not include parcels within the Commercial Reserve nor the Old <br />Town land use area. Each of these areas requires new official controls to be drafted prior to <br />changes in the Zoning Map. <br /> <br />The City Council requested that the Specht family be notified of the proposed zone change. <br />A copy of the letter that was sent to them is attached. As of the writing of this memo, staff <br />has not been contacted by a representative of the Specht family. <br /> <br />Planning Department Mission: the orderly development of a livable and sustainable Elk River community. <br />
