<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />February 18, 1935 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A Special meeting of the Village Council was held at Caleys Hdwe Store, Thursday, Feb. 18, 1935 at <br />3. O’Clock P.M. <br /> <br />Present: D.E. Davis, Pres.; Geo. Cornelius, J.D. Flaherty and Wm. Patenaude, Trustees; <br />Wm. H. Greupner, Clerk. <br /> <br />The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the matter of allowing Mr. G.H. Lewis a Dance Permit <br />to have dances in his restaurant a motion was made by Wm Greupner, seconded by Wm Patenaude <br />and carried to allow Mr. Lewis a Dance Permit at the rate of $2.00 a month. <br /> <br />It was also brought up at this meeting that A.L. Parker was holding dances without a permit The <br />Clerk was instructed to see Mr. Parker and tell him if he wishes to continue his dances he will have <br />to take out permit. <br /> <br />No further business, meeting adjourned. <br /> <br />Wm.
