<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 19, 1941 <br /> <br />A regular meeting was held at the Municipal Bldg on May 19, 1941 at 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> M.C. Tesch, Pres; Frank Nickerson, E.L. Shadick, and G.A. Bailey, Trustees; J. <br />Clinton Walker, Clerk <br /> <br />The following relief clients were taken care of: <br />thth <br />Bert Sweeney allowed $10.00 rent from May 17 to June 17 <br />Carl Marohn allowed an $8.00 food stamp book <br />Chester Waite allowed a $12.00 food stamp book with the understanding that he report to Mr. <br />Zimmer for work on days when he is not working elsewhere. <br />L.J. Bethke allowed a $10.00 food stamp book. <br /> <br />It was decided to hire a clerk for the liquor store. The clerk to work 125 hours a month at a salary of <br />$50.00 a month. <br /> <br />It was decided to pay the Town Board Leader through the school in the same manner as last year <br />the amount being $350.00 for the season. <br /> <br />A motion was made by E.L.
