<br />e <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 94 - 1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A CONSENT AGENDA FORMAT <br />FOR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in an effort to conserve time, the City Council has <br />authorized the establishment of a Consent Agenda <br />format; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Consent Agenda will contain routine items which <br />are not controversial in nature and which do not need <br />further discussion; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if discussion is desired, the agenda item must be <br />removed from the Consent Agenda and considered <br />separately; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, any item may be removed from the Consent Agenda for <br />any reason; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the title of each item on the Consent Agenda may be <br />read aloud before action is taken; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, those items on the Consent Agenda shall be approved, <br />adopted, accepted, etc. by one motion of the City <br />Council as follows: <br /> <br />"I move that the Consent Agenda be approved;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if one or more items are to be removed from the Consent <br />Agenda, the motion to approve shall be as follows: <br /> <br />"I move that the Consent Agenda be approved with the <br />exception of item(s) ;" and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, those items so approved under the heading of "Consent <br />Agenda" will appear in the Council minutes in their <br />proper form, i.e. resolution vacating easement, etc. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Elk River City Council <br />establishes the above "Consent Agenda Format" for City <br />Council meetings. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Elk River <br />this 3rdday of January, 1994. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />d~ <br /> <br /> <br />A.
