<br />A special meeti~of the Elk River Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Bartelt on Jan. 11, 1971, at 7:30 pm. in the Village Council hoom. <br />Members present were Mayor Bartelt, Councilmen, Konop, Otto, and Syring <br /> <br />The CGuncil conducted . an interview with a Chief of Police Applicant Robert <br />Olsen. Councilman Syring moved ana Councilman Konop seconded that the Council <br />hire Robert Olson as Chief of Police at a salary of $700/mo., probationary <br />period of 6 months, $100 first year clothing allowance, 50/yr. thereafter. <br />Motion carried. : <br /> <br />() <br />,. <br /> <br />Councilman Konop moved and Councilma n~yring seconded that the village enter <br />into a contract with the County regarding a W0rk Relief Program.
