<br />ELK RIVER TOWN BOARD MEETING <br />April 7, 1956 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The town board met in regular session with all members present. <br /> <br />Present: \[not listed\] <br /> <br />A group of farmers were Present to discuss the problem of gopher bounty. Fred Pirie told how it <br />was carried on in Burns Township. Orville Bernard made a motion, seconded by Oscar Engstrom <br />and carried that the township get along this year and see how it goes. The township will pay 15 cents <br />and the County 15 cents per gopher.
