Bond <br />question <br />d lscussed <br /> <br />REGULAR monthly meeting of Village Council <br /> <br />was held at the Council room of the ~unicipal <br />Building on ~onday April 4th,lQ32- <br /> <br />Present:- <br />Donald E,Davis <br />George Cornelius <br />Charles E.Brown <br />Joseph Flaherty <br />W.F.Chadbourne <br />Visitors <br />Village Att'y <br />Manager fuunicipal Band <br />Fairbanks Morse & Co. <br /> <br />Pres, <br /> <br />Trustees:- <br /> <br />Clerk <br /> <br />F. T. Whi te <br />D.A.Dare <br />__Elwood <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by the PTes,at 8.30 P.M. <br />The minuets of the last regular meeting read and <br />approved. <br />The question as to sufficient bonds given by the 1st, <br />bational Bank to the ~illage Council to secure the <br />amount of the sinking fund deposited therein was taken <br />up and discussed at length. <br />On motion a committee of three was appointed b~r the <br />pres,to interview the Dank in regard to increasing <br />said bond sufficient to cover all deposits. <br />Committee .l?res,1avis ,Charles Brown.and ~oseph FlaheI't~.. <br /> <br />Donald A.Dare manager of the Municipal Band interviewed t <br />the ,Council for further instructions as to the manner <br />of proceedure to secure the 2 mill tax voted at the <br />last election for the support of the Dand,after quite <br />a discussion and reading a letter froE the Atty'General <br />in regard to the matter. the following motion was made <br />and declared carried that that the manager of the band <br />make an itemized account of the expenQiturec each month <br />for the sl...lJ?port of the.ooiand and present it to Geo~ <br />Corneliustrustee.appointed by the l?res,for approval <br />upon hi~ approval the ~lerk will isslie a warrant for the <br />same.to be approved at the next regular meeting of the <br />Council. - . . <br />Charles lvi.Nelson (marshal)was instructed to procure <br />fertilizer for the Village ~ark and apfly same as his <br />Judgement deemed necessar~ <br />N~.Elwood representing the Fairbanks ~orse Co,of St.Paul <br />Fairbanks came before the Council by appointment to duscuss the <br />:M.orse and Co" question of 1u.unici:pal ownership of its Alectric ..LIight <br />Electric . plant using a Diesel Oil enginE; for pOWE-J'. <br />light .i.v.r.Elwood Cave a very intereating talk on the subject <br />Proposition presenting facts and figures to support his claim as tp <br />discussed the cost of installing and opeaatLgg his system. and <br />proposed that the Council visit some of his insallations <br />in thi~ state. The Council seemed very much interested <br />in his proposition,and will proceed to investigate the <br />subject in the near future, <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Municipal <br />Band <br />committee <br />ap:pointed <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The ~ibrary board presented a report as to the amount <br />of money the~ would like to have for the coming year <br />as the funds voted for ~ibrar~T purposes are not suf'fi <br />cient for that ~urpose other means will have to adopted <br />no action taken at the ~resent meeting. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />-- <br />
