There were a total of <br />six bids received. The following table lists each of the bidders and their total bid: <br /> <br />Universal Enterprises of Mid-MN, Inc. <br />Magnam Company <br />Bauerly Companies <br />Jay Brothers, Inc. <br />DMJ Corporation <br />Omann Brothers, Inc. <br /> <br />$271,313.63 <br />$297,005.44 <br />$331,707.24 <br />$337,985.28 <br />$348,589.50 <br />$363,628.45 <br /> <br />Breaking the bid down into the two components, the King Avenue parking lot bid was <br />$117,346.75 and the miscellaneous park paving improvements were bid at $153,966.88. The <br />estimate for the King Avenue parking improvement was $350,000 including all costs <br />associated with hazardous material abatement at the Elk River Municipal Utilities building, <br />demolition of the building, and reconstruction of the parking lot. It appears that the total of <br />all these costs will be approximately $100,000 under the estimate. The estimate for the <br />miscellaneous park paving improvements was approximately $180,000. The low bid <br />submitted by Universal Enterprises is approximately $26,000 under this estimate.
