ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES <br /> REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br /> ELK RIVER UTILITIES COMMISSION <br /> HELD AT THE ELK RIVER MUNICIPAL UTILITIES OFFICE <br /> APRIL 14, 1998 <br /> Members Present: President, George Zabee; Vice Chairman, James Tralle; John Dietz, <br /> Trustee <br /> Staff Present: Bryan Adams, General Manager; Glenn Sundeen, Line Manager; Robert <br /> McCartney, Water Superintendent; Patricia Hemza, Office Manager <br /> Others Present: Steve McDonald, Abdo, Abdo, Eick &Meyers; Wade Lovelette, Line <br /> Foreman; Mark Fuchs, Lead Lineman; Lloyd Lorenzen, Lead Lineman <br /> 1. Call meeting to order at 4:00 P.M..April 14, 1998 <br /> 2. Consider Utilities Agenda <br /> Bryan Adams offered two items under Other Business, the School Street Project <br /> and Well#6. John Dietz offered one item under Other Business, City Engineer. <br /> James Tralle moved to approve the April 14, 1998 Agenda, with the three additions. <br /> Mr. Zabee seconded the motion. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> 3. *Consider Consent Agenda <br /> James Tralle moved to approve the Consent Agenda as follows: <br /> 3-10-98 Minutes <br /> March Check Register <br /> Financials <br /> 5.1 Up-date Electric Wire & Conduit Bid Results <br /> At the March 10, 1998 Utilities meeting, Staff was authorized to award the 1998 <br /> Electric Wire and Conduit bid to the lowest responsive bidder. Bryan Adams <br /> presented a bid tabulation reflecting the results, and advised the Commission that <br /> the bid was presented to Border States, the lowest responsive bidder. <br /> 5.2 Up-date Methane Gas Generation & Wind Turbine Project <br /> Bryan Adams reviewed the decision by UPA to pursue other wind energy <br /> development outside the Elk River Area, due to the new arrangement with <br /> Cooperative Power. The progress of the Landfill Gas Generation project was <br /> reviewed regarding the Power Strategies request for extensions and the <br /> lack of engineering information or a finalized power purchase agreement. <br />
