<br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />t) <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />OF THE OOARD OF REVIEW HELD IN THE <br />CITY OFFICE BUILDING <br /> <br />May 20, 1975 at 7:00 PM. <br /> <br />The Elk River City Council met as a Board of Review at 7:00 PM. May 20, 1975 <br />members present were as follows: Mayor Lundberg, Councilmembers Otto, Konop <br />Hudson, SYring, Clerk Savela, City Assessor Ty Bishop and Glenn Powell. <br /> <br />Mayor Lundberg called the meeting of the Board of Review to order at 7:05 PM. <br /> <br />Collen Dahlheimer at 345 Morton Ave. Elk River stated that their taxes have increased <br />600.00 in a two year period. It was noted after review that the taxes had not increased <br />but the valuation had increased that amount. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Otto and seconded by Councilmember Konop that they approve <br />the assessments on the Dahlheimer property subject the assessor reviewing of the <br />buildings and property. Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5...0. <br /> <br />Ken Wirts met with the board requesting an explanation of his tax statement. No <br />action was required. <br /> <br />Mr. Lloyd Stromberg met with the board questioning why his neighbor had a lessor <br />valuation then he. After review it was noted that. his home has more improvements <br />therefore the assessed value was correct. <br /> <br />Francis Riddle question why his valuation increased $500.00. It was reviewed and noted <br />that the location and size of the lot warranted the increase. Therefore it was fair <br />valuation. <br /> <br />Moved by Councilmember Hudson and seconded by Councilmember otto approving the assessment <br />rolls as presented with the exception of the Dahlheimer property as previously noted. <br />Motion unanimously carried by a vote of 5-0. <br /> <br />As there were no other property owners in attendance the meeting adjourned at 8:20 PM. <br />
