of � MEMORANDUM <br /> TO:• <br /> Planning Commission <br /> River <br /> FROM: Steve Ach, City Planner j 1 <br /> DATE: January 9, 1998 <br /> SUBJECT: Annual Planning Commission <br /> Meeting <br /> I hope everyone had a happy holiday and enjoyable new year. As we embark <br /> upon 1998, a year in which I'm sure will be filled with exciting development <br /> projects, it is time to look forward and plan this year's Planning <br /> Commission's events. This year's annual Planning Commission meeting is <br /> scheduled for Saturday, January 17th, at 8:30 a.m. at Elk River City Hall <br /> in the administrative conference room. Morning treats along with your <br /> favorite fruit juices and coffee will be provided for Saturday morning's <br /> meeting. <br /> • Attached is an agenda very similar to previous years along with backup <br /> information which will be used during the discussion. I have also included a <br /> publication put out by the Metropolitan Council entitled, "Council Directions" <br /> for the Planning Commission to review. In addition is a copy of Chapter 16 <br /> from the League of Minnesota Cities' booklet discussing comprehensive <br /> planning and land use issues. This is a worthwhile publication the <br /> Commission may wish to refer to occasionally. <br /> If any of the Commission members have questions about the agenda or would <br /> like to have items added, please let me know in advance of the meeting so I <br /> can prepare the necessary information.
