<br /> <br />*Item 3.9.* <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />TO: Mayor and City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Michele Bergh, Recreation Manager <br /> <br />DATE: April 4, 2005 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Consider Hiring Full Time Recreation Coordinator <br /> <br />We have completed interviewing for the Recreation Coordinator position, There were <br />almost 100 applicants, We interviewed five candidates and are recommending the hiring of <br />Ross Demant for the position, Ross would begin the position at Pay Grade 8, Step C. As a <br />40-hour employee, he would also be eligible for holiday, sick and vacation pay as well as <br />PERA, <br /> <br />Ross has five years of experience working for Duluth Parks and Recreation with very similar <br />responsibilities, He lives in the City of Becker with his family, <br /> <br />Ross is available to being work April 5th, upon approval from the City Council, I believe <br />Ross would be an excellent employee and a great fit in the Parks and Recreation <br />Department, <br />
