<br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />TOWN OF ELK RIVER <br />March 8, 1955 <br /> <br /> <br />The annual meeting of the Town Board of Elk River was called to order by moderator, A.L. Powell. <br /> <br />The Treas. report was read from March 1954 to March 1955. Accepted as read. <br /> <br />Transfer of the Ditch Fund to the Road & Bridge Fund. <br /> <br />It was moved and seconded $2000 for the Road & Bridge Fund. Carried. <br /> <br />It was moved and seconded no levy for the Revenue Fund. Carried. <br /> <br />It was moved and seconded that the next Annual Town meeting be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />There was some discussion on bounty on pocket gophers. It was moved and seconded to table the <br />matter for the time being. Carried. <br /> <br />Election was held for Supervisor for 3 years, Treasurer for 2 years and Assessor for 2 years. <br /> <br />Polls declared closed at 4 p.m. by moderator. <br /> <br />Voters: <br />1.
