<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />December 27, 1905 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At a special meeting of the Village Council, the following-named were present: <br /> <br />Present: A.H. Nickerson, Pres.; Justus deBooy and J.H. Romdeune, Trustees; H.C. Hastings, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />A bill from the Hempner Bridge Co. for a set of plans for bridge was presented, and, upon motion <br />of J.H. Romdeune and seconded by Justus deBooy, it was voted that the bill be allowed at the sum <br />of $150 to come out of the commissions of C.A.P. Turner Engineers, as it is understood by the <br />Council was the agreement at the time Mr. Turner was employed by the Council. <br /> <br />On motion the following bills were allowed: <br /> <br />Chas. M. Babcock, rent of fire engine house, $60.00 <br />Opitz and Mendenhall, \[no detail given\], $2.28 <br />Geo. W. Youso, work on streets, $9.25 <br />R.S. Dare, use of chairs, $1.00 <br />th <br />W.S. Ward, service of self to others as police on 4 of July, $7.50 <br /> <br />Bills of Heebner Mercantile Co. and Prosper Vassar were presented and laid over. <br /> <br />Bill of Geo. W. Youso for $9.90 for 40 cubic yds. earth filling at north end of bridge (extra above <br />contract) was presented, and on motion it was voted to allow the same. <br /> <br />th <br />On motion it was voted to adjourn to meet on Saturday P.M., January 6, 1906. <br /> <br />H.C.
