<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 17, 1903 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Special meeting of the Council was held in the office of the village on Sat., Oct. 17, at 3 P.M., for the <br />purpose of passing judgment on the fire apparatus. <br /> <br />Present: C.Q. Scoborio, Pres.; Perry Clute, J.E. McBride and A.A. Opitz, Trustees <br />\[H.B. Nickerson, Village Recorder, not present\]. <br /> <br />Mr. W.M. Gibson, representing the Waterous Fire Engine Works of St. Paul, was present. <br /> <br />On motion of A.A. Opitz, it was voted to accept the fire apparatus and that an order be drawn for <br />one thousand dollars ($1000.00) as first payment, as per contract. <br /> <br />A letter was presented from the Waterous Fire Engine Works authorizing the Village Council to <br />issue an order to W.M.
