<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />May 24, 1902 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Met in Recorder’s office. Called to order at 8:30. <br /> <br />Present: C.J. Scoboria, Pres.; Perry Clute and A.A. Opitz, Trustees; H.B. Nickerson, Village <br />Recorder. <br /> <br />The following bills \[were\] presented and on motion allowed: <br /> <br />N.D. Trumbull; hall rent for village election; $5.00 <br />A.A. Opitz; freight on pipe; $.52 <br />L. Pollard; road work; $17.85 <br />F.W. Milbrath; putting in cement walk; $48.00 <br />B.N. Thompson; lumber, brick and labor; $9.85 <br />The Western Supply Co.; pipe, fittings, etc.; $19.87 <br />J.C. Whitcomb; repair on park fence; $1.00 <br /> <br />The proposition to build sidewalk on Princeton Street on motion was rejected. <br /> <br />On motion it was ordered to consider and confer with parties or towns owning and using chemical <br />engines with a view to purchasing one for our town. <br /> <br />Mr. Clute and McBride are appointed as a committee to go to some town to investigate the chemical <br />engine business. <br /> <br />\[No note re: adjournment.\] <br /> <br />H.B.
