<br />Filed March 23, 1900: Treasurer’s receipt for $314.61 Village revenue tax. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />March 23, 1900 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Village Council held for the purpose of considering an offer for the ferry. <br /> <br />Present: H.C. Hastings, President; Henry Castle, J.S. Guerney, J.H. Romdeune; R.E. Dare, <br />Village Recorder. <br /> <br />On motion the following resolution was adopted: <br /> <br />Whereas George Guimont has made a proposition to buy the ferry at Elk River, Minn., and pay <br />therefore the sum of $150.00 in installments; <br /> <br />Resolved that the committee on ferry be authorized to accept said proposition on such terms of <br />payment as to them shall seem best, and to execute, sign and deliver such conveyance as may be <br />necessary, but to see that the interests of the Village are in every way safeguarded. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerney was appointed to see Mr. Webb of the Boom Co. and make arrangements for a pier or <br />sh boom above the ferry. <br /> <br />Nothing further appearing, we adjourned till next regular \[meeting\]. <br /> <br />R.E.
