<br />VILLAGE OF ELK RIVER COUNCIL MEETING <br />July 30, 1892 <br /> <br />Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Present: C.S. Wheaton, Lewis and Houlton <br /> <br />The following bills were presented and on motion allowed: <br />D.R. Houlton, balance on road work $121.90 <br />L.L. Chaffin, blacksmith work $ 9.15 <br />John Hayward, building pound $ 5.00 <br />A.N. Dan, painting $ 2.35 <br />Wm. Shorry, nails $ 1.58 <br />Independent School Dist., paint for bridge $ 11.40 <br />J.F. Lewis & Co., paint for bridge $ 12.90 <br /> <br />The report of D.R. Houlton as to work done in roads was presented and on motion accepted. <br /> <br />It appearing that H.E. Thomas had secured permission of K.H. Burrell to put in a set of hay scales <br />in front of the Burrell building, on motion it was decided to permit the same to be done, the same to <br />be done under and by the instructions of the Council. <br /> <br />On motion, adjourned. <br /> <br />Attest: E.E.
