Accordingly I will present the council with a <br />verbal update on the status of the applications at the February 22, 1999, City <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />At this time the city has sent out approximately 60 applications for the <br />position and about 35 have been returned. Lori Johnson and I plan on <br />screening the applications for the most qualified and experienced candidates. <br />We hope to narrow the list down to 6 or less for interviews and have <br />Councilmembers Farber and Dietz participate in the interviews. The <br />applications are on file at City Hall, but are not public information. <br />Nonetheless, any councilmember wishing to review the pool of candidates is <br />welcome to do so in the City Council office. <br /> <br />At this time we hope to arrange interviews some time in early March.
