Businesses in multi-tenant facilities shall be allowed
their proportionate share of permitted wall sign area. An exception being, parcels abutting
Highway 169 shall comply with wall sign standards for the C-3 Highway Commercial
zoning district.
The Elk Park Center PUD was established in 1994. Since adoption, the PUD regulations for wall signs
on buildings adjacent to arterial roadways have been amended twice. The first Elk Park Center PUD
amendment was in 2014 for multi-tenant buildings to allow wall signs on building facades facing an
arterial roadway not to exceed 20 square feet, in addition to a permitted sign on the front facade. The
second Elk Park Center PUD amendment was in 2016 for multi-tenant buildings to allow wall signs to
not exceed 15 percent of the façade area. This 2016 amendment closely aligns with regulations outlined
for the C-3 Highway Commercial district. However, this 2016 amendment restricted exterior wall signage
by prohibiting signage on the rear façade of a building.
