MINUTES <br /> • Sherburne/Wright Cable Commission <br /> August 5th,2010 1:00 P.M. <br /> Dassel Ergot Museum and History Center <br /> The following directors were in attendance: Merton Auger, Buffalo, Kitty Baltos, <br /> Monticello, Linda Hruby,Maple Lake,Don Levens, Cokato,Don Orrock, Big Lake, <br /> Steven Wallner, Watertown,Nancy Carswell,Rockford and Myles McGrath, Dassel. <br /> Technical Consultant Bill Bruce also attended. <br /> 1. Call to Order Mert Auger,Buffalo <br /> 2. Approval of Minutes <br /> A motion to approve prior minutes was made by Don Orrock,Big Lake with <br /> a 2nd by Myles McGrath, Dassel. <br /> 3. Treasurer's Report,prepared by Merton Auger,Buffalo <br /> a. Financial Statements <br /> Mert Auger, Buffalo,reviewed the recent financial statements that he had e- <br /> mailed to all commission members and explained that the commission had <br /> made two payments to all cities with the 3`d payment coming in the final <br /> quarter. A motion was made to approve the financial statements by Don <br /> Levens, Cokato with a 2nd by Linda Hruby,Maple Lake. <br /> 4. Consideration of Resolution on Liability Insurance <br /> Mert Auger, Buffalo presented the liability waiver form sent by the League <br /> of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust Fund. A motion was made by Linda <br /> Hruby,Maple Lake and 2nd by Steven Wallner, Watertown to accept liability <br /> coverage limits of$1,500,000 and not waive the monetary limits on <br /> municipal tort liability established by Minnesota Statute 466.04. <br /> He also reviewed the results of the meeting with Tucker Carlson of Charter <br /> Cable regarding the area wide government channel. The cable company <br /> would provide$15,000 toward purchase of the necessary playback <br /> equipment provided the commission released the company from building the <br /> majority of the sites listed in the franchise agreement. There was a motion <br /> made by Don Orrock,Big Lake to prepare an agreement. Myles McGrath <br /> seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> • <br />
