MINUTES • Sherburne/Wright Cable Commission August 5th,2010 1:00 P.M. Dassel Ergot Museum and History Center The following directors were in attendance: Merton Auger, Buffalo, Kitty Baltos, Monticello, Linda Hruby,Maple Lake,Don Levens, Cokato,Don Orrock, Big Lake, Steven Wallner, Watertown,Nancy Carswell,Rockford and Myles McGrath, Dassel. Technical Consultant Bill Bruce also attended. 1. Call to Order Mert Auger,Buffalo 2. Approval of Minutes A motion to approve prior minutes was made by Don Orrock,Big Lake with a 2nd by Myles McGrath, Dassel. 3. Treasurer's Report,prepared by Merton Auger,Buffalo a. Financial Statements Mert Auger, Buffalo,reviewed the recent financial statements that he had e- mailed to all commission members and explained that the commission had made two payments to all cities with the 3`d payment coming in the final quarter. A motion was made to approve the financial statements by Don Levens, Cokato with a 2nd by Linda Hruby,Maple Lake. 4. Consideration of Resolution on Liability Insurance Mert Auger, Buffalo presented the liability waiver form sent by the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust Fund. A motion was made by Linda Hruby,Maple Lake and 2nd by Steven Wallner, Watertown to accept liability coverage limits of$1,500,000 and not waive the monetary limits on municipal tort liability established by Minnesota Statute 466.04. He also reviewed the results of the meeting with Tucker Carlson of Charter Cable regarding the area wide government channel. The cable company would provide$15,000 toward purchase of the necessary playback equipment provided the commission released the company from building the majority of the sites listed in the franchise agreement. There was a motion made by Don Orrock,Big Lake to prepare an agreement. Myles McGrath seconded the motion. Motion passed. •
