MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />ITEM 5.3. <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />FROM: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />SUBJECT: <br /> <br />Mayor and City Council <br />Michele McPherso ector of Planning <br /> <br />July 15, 2002 <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission Update <br /> <br />July proved to be another light agenda for the Park and Recreation Commission. At the July <br />meeting, Mark Mattice, Wright County Parks Administrator gave a presentation on Wright <br />County Park development. <br /> <br />The Commission reviewed three subdivisions for park dedication purposes. They also discussed <br />new rules and regulations regarding ATV and snowmobile use. A recommendation will be <br />forwarded to the City Council at the August meeting. <br /> <br />Michele Bergh presented information regarding the School District's new fee schedule and the <br />rental of facilities for recreation program. The new fees will have an adverse impact on <br />recreation programs. The Commission encouraged the City Council to express concern <br />regarding the fees to the School Board and to direct staff to work together on developing a <br />reciprocity agreement between City and School facilities. <br /> <br />The Commission also met with the landfill on the end use plan.
