~(~l~d~ i~~(~~11 ~(JY~ 1t-e~r~ X1,1, RESOLUTION 11-04 A RESOLUTION OF THE ELK RIVER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY RECOGNIZING CONTRIBUTIONS OF RON TOUCHETTE SERVING ON THE ELK RIVER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY WHEREAS, On June 2, 2008, the Elk River City Council appointed Ron Touchette to serve on the Elk River Economic Development Authority; and WHEREAS, On April 12, 2010, Mx. Touchette was appointed to the Elk River Economic Development Authority; and WHEREAS, During his tenure as President, the F_DA partnered with Elk River Energy City to utilize Energy City as an economic development tool through various marketing mediums; and WHEREAS, Mx. Touchette was a proponent of the Energy Efficiency Improvement Micro Loan Program to encourage reinvestment through energy efficient rehabilitation; and WHEREAS, As a result of the Micro Loan Program, $125,000 in funding was approved through the Micro Loan Pxogxam to assist new businesses within the community; and WHEREAS, On January 10, 2011, the EDA appointed a branding subcommittee to facilitate the branding process; and WHEREAS, On September 12, 2017, the F.,DA approved moving forward with the Elk River Brand Plan; and WHEREAS Ron Touchette's commitment, background and service has contributed to create a strong and sustainable organization working to benefit the City of Elk River. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Economic Development Authority in and for the City of Elk River, Minnesota, that it hereby acknowledges and expresses their appreciation and recognizes you for devoting your time, knowledge, and experience to serve on the Elk River Economic Development Authority.
