MEETING OF THE ELK RIVER <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />HELD AT THE ELK RIVER CITY HALL <br />MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 9, 2002 <br />Members Present: President Gongoll, Commissioners Koenig, Dwyer, I{linzing, <br />I{uester, Tveite and Motin <br />Members Absent: None <br />Staff Present: Director of Economic Development Catherine Mehelich, Economic <br />Development Assistant Heidi Hall, Ciry, Administrator Pat Klaers, <br />and Ciry Clerk Sandra Peine <br />1. Call Meeting To Order <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the meeting of the Economic Development <br />Authority was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by President Gongoll. <br />2. Consider 9/9/02 EDA Agenda <br />COMMISSIONER KUESTER MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br />SEPTEMBER 9, 2002 EDA AGENDA. COMMISSIONER TVEITE <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0. <br />3. Consent Agenda <br />Commissioner blotin indicated that in regard to the second paragraph from the <br />bottom of page 2, of the August 19, 2002 minutes, he thought it was the intent of <br />the EDA to reflect that 50% of the space must be actually occupied rather than just <br />showing a commitment to lease. <br />Commissioner Dwyer requested the following amendment to the August 19, 2002, <br />EDA 1Minutes: Page 1, Item #1 - "The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. <br />rather than 6:00 p.m." <br />It was the consensus of the EDA to cable action on the August 19, 2002, minutes <br />until the next EDA meeting to allow staff to research this issue. <br />COMMISSIONER MOTIN MOVED TO APPROVE THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA AS FOLLOWS: <br />3.1. AUGUST 12, 2002 EDA MINUTES -APPROVED <br />3.2. AUGUST 19, 2002 EDA MINUTES -TABLED <br />3.3. CHECK REGISTER -APPROVED <br />
