• RESOLUTION 10- 11 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ELK RIVER <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION <br />FOR AN LCCMR GRANT REGARDING CLIMATE CHANGE, <br />RENEWABLE ENERGY, AND AIR QUALITY FOR THE BUSINESS <br />RECYCLING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM <br />WHEREAS, The City of Elk River recognizes the importance of providing high quality <br />services to the community; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Elk River recognizes the importance of solid waste reduction <br />through recycling in solid waste management hierarchy; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Elk River that a Business <br />Recycling Assistance Program will be developed for business organizations within Elk River <br />to benefit the people of Elk River and neighboring communities. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Elk River has the legal authority to apply <br />fox financial assistance and financial capability to meet a match requirement if one is so <br />required fox the proposed project. <br />. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon approval of its application by the state, the <br />City of Elk River may enter into a grant agreement with the State of Minnesota's LCCMR <br />for the above-referenced project, and that the City of Elk River certifies that it will comply <br />with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the grant agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Environmental Department staff is <br />hereby authorized to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on <br />behalf of the applicant. <br />Passed and adopted this 5~' day of April, 2010. <br />Stepha 'e Klinzing, May <br />ATTEST: <br />r <br />./ <br />• Tina Allard, City Clerk <br />
