NFORMATION

j611 18 2fml

BOYS ~ GIRLS CLUB
OF ELK RIVER

June 14,2001

Steve Rohlf
City of Elk River
13065 Orono Parkway
Elk River, MN 55330

Dear Mr. RohlE
On behalf of the Boys & Girls Club of Elk River, I would like to
express our heartfelt thanks for your donation of 39 frisbee's for our
Environmental Education Program.
The Club has completed its first year of operation and we are
seeing great success with our youth development and educational
programs. It costs us about Two Hundred Fifty Dollars a year to sponsor
a member. We are serving from seventy-five to one hundred kids a day
and had over fifteen hundred members signed up last year. There were
better than twenty-two thousand individuals through our doors last year
receiving more than eighty-two thousand services. The Boys & Girls
Club is an active, busy, bustling center of growing and learning.
To watch a member hone their skills and gifts and then share
them with someone else is an awesome sight. We invite you to stop and
see your gift in action. Our office hours are Monday through Friday
from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but, for the best view, our programming
hours for kids are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Once again, thank you for taking the time to be interested in and
invest in the youth of our community. It truly does take a village to raise
a child!

Respectfully, ~.

Peg R'ie~cken
Administrative Assistant

E.R.
