MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />**Item 3.6.** <br /> <br />TO: <br /> <br />Mayor & City Council <br /> <br />FROM: Phil Hals, Street/Park Superintendent <br /> <br />DATE: May 16, 2001 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Tractor with Roadside Mower Purchase <br /> <br />On April 30, 2001, the City Council authorized advertising for bids to purchase <br />a tractor and roadside mower attachment. <br /> <br />The bid opening was on May 8, 2001, and Doyle Equipment of Lakeville was <br />the only bidder and offered a 1999 John Deere 6410 4x4 tractor with 1,111 <br />hours and a new Diamond boom mower for a bid price of $50,055.00 including <br />sales tax. <br /> <br />Operator Chris Holzem and City Mechanic Bob Mahutga personally inspected <br />the tractor and find it to be a very good unit for our intended uses. <br /> <br />Recommendation; <br />City Council authorize the purchase of tractor and boom mower from Doyle <br />Equipment of Lakeville for $S0,0S5. Funding source is 2001 Council <br />Contingency. <br /> <br /> <br />
