The project started in the fall of <br />1994 and was completed in the spring of 1995. This realignment was <br />initiated by the city to remove the dangerous curves from this section of road. <br />On the attached map, the solid lines show the original layout of 221st <br />Avenue. The dash lines show the realignment of this street. Part of the <br />city's agreement with the adjacent property owners to gain the necessary <br />easements for the new alignment, was that the city would vacate the original <br />alignment. <br />The issue in front of the council is the vacation of the original alignment. <br />Attached to this memo, is a resolution that the City Council must pass to <br />accomplish this vacation.
