Mr. Stevens will be paid at step D of pay grade 7. He will be eligible for any cost of living <br />adjustment given to regular city employees on January 1, 2010 and a step increase on July 1, 2010. <br />Background/Discussion <br />The lead wastewater operator position has been vacant since last summer. Two of the division's <br />operators are qualified for and interested in the lead position. Public Works Director Terry Maurer, Chief <br />Operator Gary Leirmoe, and I met with and interviewed each of the interested operators. After thorough <br />consideration, we recommend Matt Stevens for the lead operator position. <br />Mr. Stevens came to the City with prior experience from the City of Long Prairie.
