Many of the original job duties within particular
jobs have changed. Originally Hay Group evaluated these jobs and assigned points to
each position. Unfortunately, Hay Group has closed their Minneapolis offices. We can
either hire Hay Consultants to re-evaluate these positions or learn to do it ourselves. The
nearest Hay Job Evaluation Seminar is April 13 & 14, 2005 in Chicago. I would like to
attend unless this commission desires otherwise. Total cost is approximately $2500.
This will allow us the ability to utilize the Hay Group methodology in house instead of
paying consultants.
Enclosed is the following information for your review.
1) H.R. article from "Kiplinger Letter", dealing with Anti-body-piercing Hiles
discrimination based on personal appearance.
2) Graph reflecting Landfill Gas electric generation facility output for power and
energy for years 2003 and 2004. In 2004 this facility had a capacity factor of
102.17% fora $24,542.91 bonus to Waste Management. This facility was
ties
operating at peak capacity all 12 months at time of Great River Energy's
monthly peak.
